I be with you Inamo...

So yesterday I went to this really cool restaurant called Inamo. It is a oriental fusion restaurant where you get to order you own food, drinks and chooes the ambiance of your table using the interactive trackpad- you can even play games.

It is a little bit expensive (they also add a cheeky 10% service charge) but they recommend you share the dishes so its not so bad but be prepared to pay £20 per head at least. Its certainly worth the experience.

I heart Berlin

Hey guys,
yes I know its been a while, I have been out and about exploring the graphic design world and visiting some of my relatives. In case you haven't worked it out yet I went to Berlin! It was such an amazing place so much design and culture it really inspired me. Later on this week I will be posting some images I have taken on my travels.

Hi all I have been away all summer visiting my family all over the world here is some of me snapshots

The Saatchi Gallery

On my travels I went to the Saatchi Gallery on Kings Road, it was the first time I went there and it was really good. There was no ropes or barriers so you could get really close to the work and look at it from different angles. If you have time I would recommend Korean Eye: Moon Generation a showcase of the best of Korean contemporary art. One of my favourite pieces was Jangdockdae, by Yi HwanKwon (the squashed family), by just looking at them it messes up your perception and makes you feel disorintated its a simple but effective idea.

Got La Roux's Album 2 days before its release

OMG... woke up this morning and checked the post and low and behold what do I see a little brown box from HMV and I start to smile and get the feeling of excitement. It's La Roux album, the first album I have brought since I discovered spotify 3 months ago I had big expectations. I'm please to say it was worth the wait I loving it, if you love the 80's synth-pop like I do you will love it. Thank you HMV....

LOAD at Royal Albert Hall

On Monday I went down to the Royal Albert Hall, where over a space of 4 days the walls of the loading bay area, had been used as a blank canvas by a team of artists from the Wonderland Collective. The Mural depict some on the memorable moments of the RAH's History. Pictures below.

I have found a new found love for Barnard Cohen. Who's Bernard I hear you say he is a comtemory artist, who has had a career of thirty years. He does these amazing abstract paintings (see below)
He has an exhibition at the Flowers Gallery in Shoreditch (Kingsland Rd), until 4 July.

Walking in my Mind... I don't mind a bit of dots

So yesterday, was the first day of the Walking in my Mind Exhibition at the Hayward Gallery, I though I would see what all the fuss was about. The exhibition is a exploration of what goes on in artists head, it features 10 artists work as they try to explain/visualize what goes on in their heads (It also comes with a parental advisory warning (although I did see a little walking around with there mum so they obviously didn't mind a bit of porn)).

It was a really good exhibition, I particularly enjoyed Thomas Hirschhorn's Cavemanman, it was big cave, with lots of corridors, it was like a world inside a world, lined with brown packing tape. Yayoi Kusama, the artist that did the dots (see below), was the most iconic and playful, I could understand why they used her work to promote the exhibition.

The Future's Bright?

A few weeks ago I went to Bucks Graphics & Advertising Degree Show, High Wycombe. Yep I ventured out of zone 5, it was all in name of supporting my friends brother at there final year show and to size up the competition.

Above all I was really impressed, the quality of work and ideas was really high. I guess the future is bright for these guys... Pictures below
